- I collect and restore vintage Spitz and GOTO planetarium projectors and related A/V equipment. I have, and will travel the continent to save them. I have no dome, but the 24 foot vaulted ceiling in my shop is the next best thing. I view myself as a custodian, to bridge these classics over to the next generation in a secure, air-conditioned semi-retirement state. Keeping the projectors operational is a challenge, but a high priority nonetheless.
Interested in acquiring 35mm planetarium slides collections for archival and preservation.
Searching for A3P wood pedestal and original A3P wood console for A3P restoration. The Spitz A3P formerly of the Chabot Space and Science Center, Oakland, needs only these two parts to be complete, and it will shine once again. The restoration of this instrument will be dedicated to the memory of legendary educator, Kingsley Wightman, in the form of a cast bronze plaque affixed to the instrument.
